Sherwin's last album produced (for Cross Rhythms City Radio at least) a turntable hit with "Never Let You Go". This new one is another wide ranging celebration taking in styles from soca (soul of calypso), jamoo, dancehall, hip-hop and a rather strained take on the soul ballad. Not everything works and some may find Sherwin's vocal stylings a tad too theatric for mass consumption. But with 19 tracks on offer here and some intriguing guests (Tiko & Gitta, Shiselon, Double Six) there's always enough inventive rhythm and free form toasting to keep you listening. If you want a blast of Caribbean energy, you'll want to investigate.
