This is basically an album of remixes from various DJ-producers across the USA. Some could be categorised as trance, some break-beat, some drum'n'bass, some even industrial. The variety of styles is fine with respect to production quality, but it has to be said that some of the mixes sound very tired and dated when compared to current European tastes. Having said that, track two, the Funk Oddyssey mix of DJ Culture is wonderfully Fat Boy Slim in style with the repetitive vocal hook and trippy big beats. "Belief" indulges in an extremely dirty guitar sound reminiscent of Chemical Brothers, while "Rainbow" provides some extremely fast drum'n'bass rhythms while somehow keeping a dreamy futuristic atmosphere. This CD is not commercial dance music and there aren't enough lyrics to challenge even a two year old Eskimo: it's strictly for those who like a bit of healthy instrumental experimentation!
