A corking new worship album form Sheila sees her coming up trumps with an uplifting and yet tender set of familiar contemporary songs. The use of the word "Celtic" in the title can, at times, be misleading as the songs are fairly straight covers with a liberal sprinkling of Celtic fiddle, harp and uillean pipes. When I think of Celtic worship. But whatever its lack of true Celtic authenticity this latest from the Scotland-born, USA-based singer is extremely well produced, as one would expect from the Integrity label. There are some uplifting moments. For example, the superb renditions of "Breathe" which compares favourably with the version done by Rebecca St James; "God Of Wonders", a song which seemed done to death, but Sheila breathes new life into it by embracing the Celtic influence; and the Newsboys' "He Reigns" which is magnificent.
