Fans who followed the group's earlier releases will know that they are a band in transition, moving from being a thundering wall of sound hard music team to a group which can handle radio-friendly ballads and rockers not dissimilar to Creed and Nickelback. To help them achieve this they have moved labels and brought in wise old head producer Aaron Sprinkle. The studio maestro puts particular emphasis on Jeremy Holderfield's crunchy guitars while singer and primary songwriter Joseph Rojaz has an impressive set of pipes that can scream a grindcore anthem yet also sing with heartrending passion on album closers "Masquerade" and "Oceans From The Rain". Sonically this album is hugely impressive with bass and drums cutting through the layers of guitars and although some might find the more radio friendly tracks too generic for their tastes, the fact is Seventh Day Slumber have delivered a classy album which puts the group up there with the best of the radio friendly rockers.
