The music of SAOTV has been described as "transglobal breakbeat dub science" and compared to some of their previous releases, this 2018 release is a little heavier in the dubstep, drum 'n' bass department, although they continue to skilfully intertwine Indian, Arabian and Turkish music samples to great effect. "Ephrem The Syrian", once it passes it's gentle start, delivers a driving beat that will satisfy most D&B fans. I did however find "The Crocodile Gate Of Khemi" a hard listen, as its slouching beat (possibly reflecting the animal in question) alongside, in my mind, some poorly executed samples became irritating. This five-track release is more for their loyal fan base rather than an introduction to the Croydon-based duo.
