Those who know their rock music history will know that Scott was once the frontman of one of the best-selling rock teams, but anyone expecting something in Creed's rather formulaic style will be stunned by the full-on guitar assault of this single, Scott's first new music for four years. The ferociously heavy axe assault is perfectly counterbalanced by Scott's dry croak of a vocal while the lyrics are jet black. But rather than a wallow in emo-style self-pity, Scott's words are suffused with hope that there IS indeed a way out of the cycle of agony that can grip us. A brilliant record and, if you can take your rock this heavy, one for anyone suffering from depression and negativity.
