It's taken six years for Sarah Sadler to follow up her self-titled debut album and has it been worth the wait? Well, yes it has! Sarah is the daughter of worship leader Gary Sadler and some of her most precious childhood memories are of hanging around in the recording studio with her dad. For her second album, she got to do it again as Sadler Sr produced the album and co-wrote with Sarah so maybe that's where the album title came from. She has returned to where it started. Whatever, I'm just glad she's got round to putting together a new set of songs and this is a collection of beautifully crafted and excellently executed songs. Sarah is gifted with an expressive voice and I particularly like the way vocal harmonies are stacked on different songs to fine effect. The production is unfussy but there's enough going on to hold attention and it's polished without being overdone. So what you get is a set of songs that really work. Highlights for me include the understated groove of "Freedom" and the fabulous "Pedaling Backwards" is as fine a piece of perfect pop as you could imagine! All in all, this is definitely a winner!
