Sandi is of course an American CCM institution, though not one who has registered hugely with British audiences. While the US has clamoured for her gushing, easy listening balladry (three platinum, five gold albums at the last count) in Britain Sandi's worrying tendency to topple into OTT theatrics has left the hugely gifted vocalist rather an acquired taste. Recorded live, though very oddly the sleeve fails to indicate where and when (though those responsible for wardrobe, hair and make-up do get name checked), Sandi sings praise medleys, "How Great Thou Art", and even engages in (for me unlistenable) a duet with her mom and dad. Christianity and American sentiment don't get wedged together tighter than this.
