As Marc Catley has already demonstrated with his two albums, satirical offerings lampooning the production-line-praise of our subculture is funny for as long as it takes to read the titles (and we've got some goodies here - "De O Rabit Cro!", "Swing Lo Sweet Girocheck" and "If Yer Happy (Gorbals Mix)" but quickly palls when forced to listen to intentionally naff music. Sammy Horner and his mates had a lot of fun making this. And the Big Band Praise, Trad Folk Praise etc sausage machine deserves a jibe or two. But when all is said and done 'Pub Praise' is only fun if you don't have to listen to it.
