Austin, Texas band Salvador have become leading purveyors in the field of Latin CCM over the years and after a lengthy sabbatical the band demonstrate they have lost none of their Latin funk power. With the characteristic lead vocals of Nick Gonzales and a powerhouse team of musicians behind him, Salvador are on top form as they rattle through a masterclass of contemporary Latin American sounds in the likes of "Tirate" and the more indigenous "Este Corito" whilst the Santana-like title track is worth a listen just for the sax and Hammond solos alone. Elsewhere, the band keep proceedings varied with the blues-tinged "Better Man" and the radio friendly "Get Up And Dance" whilst "God Of Forever" and "Deeper In Love" stray into more familiar worship territory and reflect the God-centred nature of this album. An accomplished cover of the Steve Winwood hit "Higher Love" is the icing on the cake of yet another exemplary release from the Salvador boys.
