Here's an album that truly defies typecasting. The pigeons will have difficulty finding a hole for this one! Ex Classic Nouveaux front man Sal Solo has turned in a thoughtful and reflective concept album (as these things used to be known) which sets out its wares in the middle ground between the contemporary and praise/worship genres. The first three or four songs in this romp through Christ's life might have fitted well on a praise album, were it not for Sal's production touches, like the sound collages which open and close each track, and the strange blends of instruments. But the African rhythms - played on Indian instruments! - of "Now I Can Go In Peace" and the rhythm box pyrotechnics of "Who Hit You Then" are distinctly contemporary pop, while the final three tunes are reflective and atmospheric masterpieces. What we have here is the beginnings of a whole new style of Christian music: Meditative music which helps us, as the title suggests to 'Look At Christ'. Highly recommended.

I am also looking for Look at Christ by Sal Solo. If anyone here has one, i would buy it for around 30 Euro.

I have been looking for Sal Solo's CD "Look at Christ" everywhere and can't find it. Do you know where it can be found?

Sandra, did you ever find a copy of Sal Solo's Look at Christ cd? Many years ago I saw him perform in Boyne Mt. Mich. at a Marian Conference. There were a lot of people from Escanaba attending so maybe someone from Eksy has a copy. I lost my copy and would love to get one. Thanks, Julie

I too am looking for this album on cd or downloadable format - I have the original cassette but would like to pass it on to my teenage daughter's youth group.
