Books of 'blessed thoughts', page-long prayers and anecdotes have flooded out from Christian publishers for decades now. All the publisher often demands is that the writer is a 'name' sufficiently well known to attract the casual browser. So the quality of such books has ranged from the truly Holy Spirit-inspired to the truly appalling. Sal Solo's modest (and overpriced) little book neither reaches the heights nor plumbs the depths of the genre, instead being an easy to read, anecdotal journey which makes its spiritual points with a deftness of touch which shows that Sal, far from being just the ex-Classix Neuveaux frontman referred to in the back cover blurb, is a man walking close enough to God to be able to glean spiritual insights from TV studios, punks and even big noses. The 15 prayers to complement Sal's 'Look At Christ' album of the Rosary are particularly telling.
