This 22 year old London-based singer is more evidence that the UK gospel underground is thriving even if it's largely ignored by the praise and worship-focussed record companies. This debut took two years to create and represents a strong start for Ryan and spotlights his smooth and soulful voice which sometimes sounds like a cross between Stevie Wonder and Steve Arrington (remember him?). The opening track "Gratitude" demonstrates another one of the album's strengths - the songwriting. Ryan clearly has talent here to not only connect with church goers but with a larger mainstream audience. "Keep On Keeping On" employs the production talents of Gavin Holligan and represents a groove that sticks with you while more Grade A production comes from The Groove Unit on "I Won't Quit". Clearly Ryan has ticked all the right boxes, great production, superb songwriting and fine voice. There's even some hot guest rapping from Watchman and MOBO winner Jahaziel. Now this artist needs the radio play.

Quality sounds from an up and coming UK talent who brings a
refreshing approach to gospel of which everybody who loves
soul music will be blessed by. A stand out LP in 2008.
