As someone who looks forward to celebrating Christmas all year round, receiving this album to review stirred up a buzz of excitement! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this and, coming from a local community which enjoys a good musical, a few dim and distant memories resurfaced of family trips to our nearest production! This is a very good way of familiarising with the events surrounding the "Christmas Story". Starting with "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" followed by "Why Should I Be So Favoured" portraying Mary's reaction. "Caesar's Fractious, He Wants Taxes" is an excellent reminder of why Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem (something I personally tend to forget!); and it includes my favourite "O Little Town Of Bethlehem". All in all, a pretty good album. The only downside is that I wished I'd actually seen the musical before hearing it.
