Bridlington-based minister, worship leader and songwriter Rob Parker has released some quality albums over the years thanks to his previous career as a professional musician and his latest offering is no exception. Designed to take the listener on a historical and prophetic journey around the British Isles, there is a fitting Celtic feel to proceedings as evidenced right from the start with an atmospheric snatch of the old hymn "Be Still And Know". Things get properly underway with the plaintive "Awake You Who Sleep" - a call out to all believers in every corner of the UK to rise up - whilst the likes of the piano-led "You Set My Feet On Fire" and the stirring "Jesus Redeemer" possess a more intimate worship feel. Parker puts in a fine vocal performance throughout - ably assisted on several tracks by Julie Cameron-Hall and Ruth Parker - and the inclusion of flutes, bagpipes and whistles (not to mention some fine lead guitar from Parker himself) allows each track to soar as well as doffing the cap to the musical influences of Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales. In short, this is a highly accomplished piece of work that highlights Parker's musical and lyrical skills whilst attempting to awaken the spiritual heart of the nation.

little bit I've joined on the prayer events is a lovely
lovely guy too! It's a brilliant CD , and gets my feet
dancing! ( on the appropriate tracks of course)
