Having begun with more Christian orientated albums (and been painfully ignored by the myopic CCM community for his trouble), the Nashville pop rocker now has this album out Stateside in the mainstream and has already seen the wonderfully infectious piece of Beatle-esque, "John Lennon's Glasses" featured here making many radio playlists. Okay, I admit that when I heard Rick's last album 'Go Nova', I was hooked. This CD takes seven tracks from that and the preceding release, and adds five new cuts to make up an irresistible whole. This is jangly, melodic yet thoughtful pop to die for, beautifully written and augmented in places by the legendary Adrian Belew (David Bowie, Talking Heads, etc.) If there were any justice in this world, Rick Altizer would be massive. Seek this out and purr with delight, cos this is as near to perfect as pop rock gets.
