There's no doubting the faith that springs from this EP as worship leader, speaker and presenter Remi launches into an acoustic guitar-based gospel song proclaiming, as the title says "Jesus Reigns". It's unusual to have such a strong acoustic guitar featured in gospel music but it's used to good effect and lifts the energy level considerably. Less successful is the distorted wah-wah guitar in the background as the song progresses. The second track "You Are Lord" is a relatively conventional worship song with some excellent piano and guitar and has more of an MOR feel than traditional gospel, though the backing singers have a soulful vibe. Lastly "Great God" is a soulful and rocky closer, but compared to the other songs is just a little bit lacking in bite. Remi is known as a powerful worship leader and musician, but in truth this EP doesn't communicate the passion it could.
