Becky Worthley is an English graduate of the University of Exeter and has this year been appointed as Social Responsibility Officer for the Diocese of Exeter. I suspect that she must be a breath of fresh air through the Church Of England and hope that this six-track EP of her songs will reach the wide audience it deserves. She has a beautiful voice and, with the particular help of husband Andrew and a variety of guitar and piano arrangements, these songs are well produced and very listenable. They are mainly poetic devotions to Jesus and the EP title comes from the lyrics of "Dawn Falling". One track, "Consumed", highlights the plight of millions of much overworked and dreadfully underpaid factory workers around the world. This song contains a fine electric guitar solo ending and seems deliberately to evoke the repetitiveness of the factory at the start. You won't regret getting a copy of this EP.
