Here's an album to launch this South African singer on the British public. Taking tracks from the two albums she's released in her home country, this is an excellent introduction that displays her incredible unrestrained vocal talents. Coming off as a cross between Alanis, Tori, Melissa Etheridge and Ashley Cleveland, the opening frantic "Feed Me" will make your jaw drop. Unfortunately, there isn't anything else that is quite as amazing. So you get a lot of songs that are good and feature her amazing voice without really connecting. Shame really. Then curiously there are the ballad versions of worship songs "I Want To Know You" and "Jesus Be The Centre" which are excellent if a little out of place with other material here. Clearly talented, I just wish she'd pull out more funky pop rock like "Feed Me".
