So Randy gets an early jump on the Christian Music
scene before first lady of CCM Amy Grant; wtg Randy!
Released in April of '76 and considered by most his
actual debut. I love side 1 starter song "King of Hearts".
Album was produced by the late Larry Norman and showcases
the early talents of the CCM coming of age prodigy (if you
will). Also, within the realms of the album info, you get
story on Solid Rock label by the late Larry Norman; contains
interesting info.
The open fold lp also contains the song lyrics as most
albums with gatefold usually provided in the 70's.
A much notable song is on side 1 "Puppet Strings; the song
has a great chorus. There was a 45 with
the "Christmas Song for All Year Round" b/w this
song. The Christmas song was nice to hear, a nice
reminisce during the holiday season. Side 2 starter
is the familiar acoustic sound of Randy we know on
latter releases:"First Prayer" is a great example of
paving the way for CCM acoustic. Every song deserves a fair
shake, great songwriting heard here.
WTG Randy! If you like this guy's music and don't
have this collectible, invest into, you won't reret it!
God Bless! Don
