Here it is, Randy's latest album in this, his 20th year in the business. In fact this is really a double album. Side one consists of seven new studio recordings, all produced to the high standard we expect of Mr Stonehill. This side has Randy's usual variety of styles and quality of lyrics, but there are no surprises. Quality, 10. Originality, 3. It is side two that makes this album special. Randy live! Randy is a great showman, as anyone who has seen him in concert will know. At a time when acoustic music is coming back into vogue 'Uncle Randy' shows exactly how its done - with just an acoustic guitar. This side bubbles with raw live energy, not to mention "poly chords", and includes such greats as "Keep Me Running" and the perennial Caribbean crowd pleaser. "Shut De Do". This album is a must for Stonehill fans, old and new. And with over an hour's playing time it's great value too.
