Never having cared for Ralph's earlier album I approached this set with precious little enthusiasm. But I soon changed my mind. Zero Option (the moniker Ralph Ward uses to cover Ns keyboard playing and drum programming) has dearly upgraded his gear, toughened up his sound and gone for a set of pop-gospel songs with enough house music sensibilities to make one forget the rather wimpish sounding recording of old. Songs often get close to the worship genre and one or two could almost be from Nine O'clock Service rave. Occasionally Ralph's vocals are a bit colourless and the worship ballads ("Shine Your Light") dull but with some good hooks and some pretty hard rhythms on most tracks interest never completely disappears.
