This festive EP from Indianapolis-born singer/songwriter Tiffany Arbuckle Lee kicks off with a simply sublime version of the old carol "Oh Holy Night" which showcases an incredible vocal performance from the artist better known as Plumb. The title track continues to promote the reason for the season by honing in on the anticipation of the coming Messiah whilst a tender medley of "Silent Night" and "Away In A Manger" helps to press home the humble surrounding of Christ's birth by being stripped back to nothing much more than an electric piano and the combined voices of Plumb and Eric Marshall of Young Oceans. Elsewhere, chestnuts are roasted on open fires to good effect on a late night lounge version of Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song" with only a competent reading of "My Favorite Things" which, of course, isn't a Christmas song and which stops me recommending this without reservation.
