Following on from earlier releases, this third part of four EPs continues to deliver music in three extended tracks. Jimmy Sisco, the driving force behind this California-based punk outfit, once again delivers an aggressive five songs merged into a single track that focus on the thin line between questioning and obedience to faith. The cuts themselves are separated by various interludes that include Scripture readings and exerts from speeches. In recent recordings, Platoon 1107 have moved towards a more mature and experimental sound and this short EP is no exception. Although machine-gun drums, rasping guitars and visceral vocals still characterise the music, the extra elements provide much more to engage the listener and at times give the feel of a rock opera. "Calvin And Servetus" opens the recording with energy and pace before a burst of Barak Obama introduces "Chromosomal" with its chugging slug fest of a rhythm. The main track clocks in at just over three minutes and the final excerpt reflecting on doubting Thomas maintains energy levels right up until the end. While the other episodes in this series can inform one another, this is another noteworthy addition to the collection and though short, it weaves some excellent hardcore sounds into a pleasing whole that can stand proud on its own.
