Reviewed by Trevor Kirk Randy Phillips, Shawn Craig and Dan Dean have been part of the American Christian music scene since 1991. In that time, they've sold over two million units, had 18 number one CCM songs, several Dove nominations and one Dove Award for their part in the classic various artists' album 'My Utmost For His Highest' in 1995. In addition, Shawn has won three Doves as a songwriter, Dan and Randy are also accomplished songwriters in their own right (or should that be write?), and all three are full time pastors, Randy and Dan in Texas and Shawn in St Louis, Missouri (which is why you'll never be able to go to a PC&D gig on a Saturday night - they'll be at home preparing for Sunday morning). The guys are now almost at the veteran stage (all are well past their two score years), and their shift in the last few years has been away from the pop CCM style into praise and worship. Their last magnum opus 'Let the Worshipers Arise' had much Christian radio airplay, and this latest release, their 12th (not counting 'My Utmost .' but including two packages of greatest hits), and featuring the production talents of Nathan (Watermark) Nockels, is well up to scratch. Fave track on first hearing is "Because Of the Blood", which Randy wrote with ex-4Him member Mark Harris, but there are lots of other things to enjoy here, and I'm confident that this album will be at the top of my Must Hear pile for a long time.
