The album starts off quite well, but you've to wait until the third track to hear the classic "Mercy Came Running" which without doubt has got to be one their greatest hits, as is "Crucified With Christ" which is also on the album. However, the album is not a greatest hits of just Phillips Craig & Dean, there are renditions here of songs written by the likes of Michael W Smith, Matt and Beth Redman and Billy James Foote - and very nice renditions too. The string accompaniment on "Let My Words Be Few" is excellent, though it's a pity the sleeve doesn't credit who is the arranger! The slower ballads of "Midnight Oil" and "He'll Do Whatever It Takes" are also really lovely. This is a fine introduction to Phillips Craig & Dean if you don't already have any of their albums, however, I can't help feel that there's something lacking to give it that edge.
