The interesting thing about listening to this album is how many '80s secular influences one can spot. For me there is a strong hint of Mike And The Mechanics but there are also bold overtones of Phil Collins, Genesis, Mr Mister, Kutting Krew, etc. It certainly took me back to teenage nights spent listening to the radio in my bedroom! But then, I'm pretty contemporary with these guys so I guess we all grew up listening to the same sounds. We often talk about reaching out to young people and by that we usually mean teenagers or children. There are many Christian bands that do this successfully. But often we make the mistake of neglecting the 30-somethings, which is a very important generation to reach out to. This of course fits nicely into that gap, which is good to see, and is a very valuable ministry. Technically, this is excellent in all respects. Nicely crafted songs merged with strong musical skills and good production give this a very polished, professional feel. My real disappointment is that it's only eight great hits; I certainly would have liked to have had a few more!
