When Stoke-on-Trent's favourite rocker Peter Field, together with his still-changing band of accompanists, recorded this three-song project it was for Christmas 2014. It is only now that Thumper Punk Records are getting it out to a larger audience. A lot of fun it is too, if you like the thought of Ramones-style run throughs of three Christmas songs taken at maximum speed and minimum subtlety. I particularly liked Peter118's one minute 15 seconds assault on "Whilst Shepherds Watched Their Flocks" though, as you'd expect, there's nothing here which gets close to their almost-a-hit-in-Japan "Radio". But if you want to pogo this yuletide 'Christmas Songs' is for you.
