With simple beauty, this live worship album recorded at Paul's home church enthrals from the get go. The musicians here, whilst obviously highly skilled are happy to humbly sit back and provide a rock steady accompaniment to Paul's clear tones and evocative lyrics. As with previous Baloche albums, Paul has collaborated here with several other composers including Brenton Brown, Michael W Smith and Jason Ingram with appearances from his son and wife on backing vocals. The live recording seems to add to the atmosphere with such songs as "Just To Be With You" and "To The Cross" being outstanding. The middle of "Today Is The Day" makes one feel like one is transported to the midst of a worshipping congregation while "Glorious" features a chorus that with its chugging rhythm hammers home the message. "Today Is The Day" is equally powerful with uplifting lyrics like "I'm putting my fears aside/I'm leaving my doubts behind/I'm giving my hopes and dreams to you Jesus" you can see that the writer really is trusting in Jesus. This is an elegant and compelling collection of worship songs; well produced and totally consistent, it's really hard to find anything wrong musically, lyrically or atmospherically. Outstanding live worship in fact.
