There are still some people who enjoy music so dense and so loud that it unclips their fillings. There are also still those in the churches who think that music like this, dark and intense, is immediately satanic because of the loud-ness of the wall of sound. Or maybe it's the indecipherable "vocals" where the "lyrics" of the songs are mangled and screamed in such a guttural manner that it's impossible to judge which side of the pearly gates this is on. However, God is glorified in all music styles, and there are plenty of people who don't know God who are still into the death end of the rock spectrum. The intentions of this London-based team are clearly to communicate a Christian message through these few songs but even by this genre's limited musical conventions, Paradox aren't really doing anything incredibly new. It's loud, it has all the familiar clichés of clattering drums, thundering bass, powerful guitar and the gut-wrenching vocals that demand the singer drench the first row of any paying audience in wads of saliva. Unfortunately, what it doesn't have is much in the way of any original touches that would make them stand out from the crowd.
