As any urban fan will tell you, PAJAM consists of the producers Paul 'PDA' Allen, J Moss and Walter Kearney and have been hugely successful in working with many modern R&B artists including Destiny's Child, Boys II Men and the Backstreet Boys. For their debut as artists in their own right PAJAM have brought together a collection of top contemporary praise and worship songs and rearranged them with an urban influence (songs like "Worthy Is The Lamb" by Darlene Zschech and Paul Baloche's "Open The Eyes Of My Heart"). The most radical transformation is on Reuben Morgan's "My Redeemer Lives". If you imagine the music of Amerie's song "One Thing" with the lyrics of "My Redeemer Lives" you've got it. There are also two original compositions standing at the beginning and end of the album. "Father" written by Paul Allen is an up-tempo song that to me is the standout track due to its worshipful lyrics and infectious musical hooks. A song that I think will become a gospel staple for many years to come. The new arrangements more often than not bring out something new to the songs and though there are unfortunately a couple of tracks that don't quite fit their new forms, on the whole this is a good album for worshippers with urban musical tastes.
