For me the surprise hit of 1992's Greenbelt, I'll even forgive them for describing their music as "post nuclear, pseudo-alternative, folk-tinged art pop" (leave it out, John) and the fact that occasional their lyrics are so literate they read more like the kind of poetry one normally reads on hand-made-paper private editions. For there is an ethereal, ortherworldly beauty about this album which is utterly captivating. One critic compared their work to The Innocence Mission and that's possibly the nearest comparison though in Karin Berquist they have a truly exceptional vocalist, all hovĀering poignancy and subtlety will the arrangements are absolutely right. Those searching for CCM sloganeering will be disappointed. But for those looking for an impeccable album of thinking-person's music, this is possibly a classic
