I had to put together this review as soon as I received the CD because I was about to leave the country for two weeks, but this is an album which I think I was able to be objective about right away. The OGC have sung over 400 concerts and issued 10 CDs in 10 years. The first part of this CD is new studio recordings. The opener is inspired by a visit to a black church in Chicago. Longstanding friend Andrae Crouch sings and prays on the track "We Give Thanks". Part two was recorded live during the choir's anniversary concert on Norwegian TV. Simon And Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is given a great rendering and a new soloist ends the CD with a tremendous version of "Amazing Grace". Arrangements and production are excellent. This is a fine example of the Scandinavian gospel sound and, if you can't get to a concert, why not buy it!
