It seems only yesterday (well, actually it was issue 64) that Cross Rhythms magazine announced to its readership that, despite being an independent release by a band unknown to all save YWAM insiders, 'Lift' was an essential worship album deserving a 10 square rating. A lot, of course, has happened to Harpendon's Onehundredhours since then, and the next step in their progress - signing with Survivor Records and the release of the seven song 'Cardiphonia' - are now documented in this two CD reissue. The production on both recordings is classic Paul Burton with layers of gutsy guitars, the songs anthemic declarations of adoration that would energise any church and Tre Sheppard is truly one of the most effecting vocalists on today's scene. All in all, an excellent preparation for the darker hues that were to be explored on 'Stronger Than My Heart'. If you have only discovered Onehundredhours PB (post Bedingfield) then this revisit of modern worship history will be most welcome.
