The stream of churches that Olly Knight is linked with is NewFrontiers though that's got nothing to do with the title of this album. Olly has written a couple of songs here with NewFrontiers man Simon Brading but like many of Brading's own recordings, they suffer from too many unmemorable melodies and clichéd lyrics. In the biography on his website Olly very oddly admitted to releasing singles that "aren't necessarily the kind of music I'd choose to listen to." Now it seems he's listening to Sigur Ros though anyone looking for a Christian equivalent of the Icelandic group's 'Agaetis Burjun' masterpiece will have to look elsewhere. The Push Community's Steve Harding and Tom Mills are competent enough producers but all they can do with these songs is offer worshippers keyboard-dominated songs of average quality. There are a few bright points. "The Stream" based on a William Cowper hymn is pretty good but too many of the lyrics aren't in the same league of Cowper's poetic and theologically rich lyrics.
