As all our German readers will know, Normal Generation? have been fixtures of the German scene for many a long year. In the past they've recorded everything from full on club music to boy band pop. This album from 2003 has taken a long time to fall into Cross Rhythms' hands but was worth the wait as it shows NG have lost none of their way with catchy radio-friendly hooks, be it the worship-orientated dance pop of "Anthem" or the seriously rocking "My Life Rocks". The production by Derek von Krogh is exemplary and throughout 'Freedom' has a poptastic sparkle you'd expect from a major company (in this case BMG release). So good voices, catchy songs and catchy production. Currently the group are working on a new album which will be more church and worship orientated. It should be great, because as I said, Normal Generation? are a class act with the talent and commitment to engage today's youth with the Gospel message.
