A first listen to this album by the rapper from Oceanside, California, provides an intriguing experience, presenting the listener with a polished collection of flows over tracks, several of which have a decidedly jazz vibe. What Nomis brings on this mostly self-produced album is a more in depth insight into his life and experiences whilst challenging the listener. The opener "A Million And One" celebrates "all parts of our culture" while tracks "Agape" and "Act Of Love" celebrate God's love and compassion. The title track explores perseverance with the message "Rome wasn't built in a day." This artist provides a refreshing change in a genre which is often focused on wealth and violence and instead provides hope, love and peace as an antidote.
