This band's music is described as "a perfect mix of melodic metal, and heavy/solid hardcore with a tint of indie rock." I would take issue with the "perfect mix." Some will consider the styles to be mixed together chaotically, and some will think that they have been blended together symphoniously. Whilst their ability, technicality, range and earnestness are very apparent, their smorgasbord of styles will put some off, considering it too eclectic and hard to get into - ranging in a song from metal with hardcore vocals, to soft emotional rock with spoken words, and even their distinctive hand-clapping. Lyrics are obviously personal reflections on various issues, sometimes poetic, sometimes obscure, but still very much "Christian." I think that it is true to say that the album grows on you with listening. Whilst their sound is more sombre than dark, comparisons have been made with some of the work of Zao. The choice is yours.
