Nina's brief tour with Julie Miller a couple of summers ago served as an introduction to this talented Scandinavian singer songwriter. Like her debut, this album was recorded at Julie and Buddy Miller's Nashville studio and again highlights Nina's plaintive vulnerable vocal performances and delicate songwriting. Beginning with "I'm God's Original Creation" Nina mixes pop, folk and a smattering of soul music influences, to produce an album which builds on last year's debut and demonstrates that she is maturing into a very fine songwriter indeed. Her strength is producing atmospheric ballads that speak of the joys and pains of the human heart. Outstanding is the gentle title song as well as "How Are You Doing?" which looks at the superficiality of our relationships. Backed by the fine sensitive piano playing of John Schreiner and the legendary guitar of Phil Keaggy, it's all top quality stuff.
