Five covers and one original from the CCM hitmakers now getting a new lease of life with Michael Tait. From the soft synth opening to the grungy guitar riff of the opening song, it is obvious that this version of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is not from the Love Actually soundtrack! As you would expect from the Newsboys it rocks along and it does not let up for "Jingle Bell Rock". "O Holy Night" then gets the rock ballad treatment followed by "Winter Wonderland" with FM Radio distorted vocals introduction. The CD closes with "The Christmas Song" (better known for the line "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire") which would not disgrace Nat King Cole at all with its straight vocals and full orchestra arrangement.
