The latest fare from New Wine is not the live worship release from their annual convention as I first assumed it to be, but a studio recording containing many of the "new" songs sung at the various 2011 events that come under the New Wine banner. The songs may not all be totally new, but some are, and all are at least very recent. A couple of opening numbers come from the pens of the likes of Tim Hughes ("Counting On Your Name") and Matt Redman/Chris Tomlin ("Our God"); many others stem from the worship leaders providing lead vocals on this disc - a formidable line-up that includes Gareth Robinson, Nicole Brown, Chris McClarney, Nick & Becky Drake and Pete James. And while the production and sonic quality throughout is excellent, the song quality varies; some being of high calibre, others being songs you know you're gonna forget pretty quickly. Personal favourites include Chris McClarney's rootsy "Your Love Never Fails" and the opening rocker, "Far Greater".
