The New Wine event have come with some exceptional children's albums recently. This one was produced by one of UK CCM's most underrated talents, Andy Harsant, and with such singers as Simon Parkin and Niki Rogers handling the vocals and a mixture of songs from children's ministry specialists mixed with material from the likes of Hillsong United, Matt Redman and Nick Herbert, this is children's music which hasn't been dumbed down for the kids. From the opening Doug Horley song "You Are G.O.D." to the final track, Simon Parry's beautiful and lilting "Your Love", this album rocks. The album crosses over between kids and adult without much trouble - my two under 10s love it and I can cope with listening to it 10 times in a day! And I defy anyone to listen to Sarah Pickering's "Kiss It Better" without a tear coming into their eye. The quality of "children's" albums is definitely on the up and this raises the bar just a little higher.
