Release International is one of a number of organisations providing much needed support for the persecuted Church, in practical and spiritual terms as well as in advocacy. Nathan released this song in 2011 to support a Release International campaign for religious freedom in North Korea, considered to be one of the worst persecutors of Christians on earth. Nathan says "I hope this song will touch the hearts of Christians in the UK and help them to get on their knees in prayer." The poignant message of the song is best demonstrated in these excerpts "They're on their knees, precious brothers and sisters, who bear the scars for living lives for you...oppression rules and the sword is upon them...one day you will return...but now we stand with your own who suffer for their trust in you. Keep their fire strong and we ask for you to come and change their nation. We pray for salvation, your love can break the strongest walls, break them down...God we pray that this nation would turn to you again..." Lou Fellingham has recorded a beautifully tender vocal and the musical arrangement reflects well the message with its wistful, slightly melancholic yet hopeful mood, assisted by the trumpet which both helps to lift the song in the chorus and mellow it down in the bridge and outro.
