Natalie is a Nashville-based singer who's worked with acts as diverse as rap pioneer Kurtis Blow and middle of the roader Glen Garrett. Ms Villa's five-song EP is hugely impressive, with the title track being as punchy a piece of electro pop as anything. With its undulating dubstep-flavoured groove it's one you'll be hearing on Cross Rhythms in the months ahead. Natalie's brittle yet appealing voice shines on other tracks too, "Turn It Around" is catchy pop rock, "The Center" has a clubland riff which would get the most jaded nightclubber on the dance floor and all the lyrics unashamedly reference the King of Kings. An unexpected delight.
