2007's 'Hope Dealer' spawned major Christian hip-hop hits with "Oh My God" and "U Can Do It 2" so the Memphis-based rapper has returned with another helping of powerful Southern rap with a stellar list of collabs which includes Canton Jones, Uncle Reece, the Gospel Gangstaz, Pettidee, D-Maub, Still Trill Christians and others. The standout "J-E-S-U-S" sees an epic backing track as Mr Del shares duties with female MC Murk in shaking off the Devil and fighting him through the power of Jesus. The project is filled with big, banging basslines like the rolling kicks in "Itchin". A tasty sample over the southern break sets apart "Nu Creature" featuring Murk and that renowned rapping nerd Rod G Newman. On the track Mr Del expresses his passion that in Christ he is a new creature, "a Holy Ghost preacher". A break from the relentless southern blasting is "Let It Go' with D McGhee's sweet vocals infusing the laid back groove as the emcee expresses those times many Christians go through, when things become too much. Southern worship breaks out in another standout, "When Men Don't Worship" with Canton Jones and Uncle Reece getting their praise on. The one-time Three 6 Mafia man has made many strong albums down the years and this is one of his best.
