It's been two years and more since America's Morgan last blessed us with an album and it's heartening to report that Morgan has lost none of his songwriting craft and way with a pop hook. Take for instance the toe tapping intro track "If I Never See A Miracle" which examines the truth that we need to believe even if we don't see signs and wonders or "What Sin" which tellingly reveals our error in letting our minds return to sins of the past ("What sin, what sin?/Well that's as far away as the east is from the west/What sin, what sin?/lt was gone the very minute you confessed/Buried in the sea of forgetfulness"). Some fine playing throughout - Jerry McPherson's guitars and Dennis Patton's keys are particular standouts - and as classy a set of pop with profound biblical messages you're likely to encounter for many a month

I had heard of Morgan Cryar long before the release of this cd in late '95; but I believe this is the first actual recording I bought of his. I had heard the pop styled, great ccm song "If I Never See A Miracle" on ccm radio. I immediately connected with it; I just luv it a lot!: great song that Morgan wrote, thanks Morgan! "What Sin?" would later become the title to Morgan's 1998 "Best Of" collection. This song speaks a lot to the listening heart, soul & mind. A cover version of pop icon Tom Petty's 1989 "I Wont' Back Down" is heard;nice remake Morgan! Great ccm songwriter Chris Eaton assists with bgv's on "There You Go Again"; another great song I favour. Before we knew her as Nicole C. Mullen, she was Nicole Coleman-Mullen; one of the bgv's for cd title "Love Over Gold":another familiar bgv Renee Garcia helps out on bgv's also. I totally luv "Cast Our Crowns"; again, Nicole C. Mullen & Renee Garcia provide their great polished vocals for bgvs: this song is top notch ccm quality and lyrics. In 1993 CCM Vet Phil Keaggy brought us the Beatle flavored "Love Divine"; Morgan brings us a calmer "Love Divine"; top ccm vocals of Angelo & Veronica are heard on bgvs: this great duo would also be heard again next year on ccm artist Eric Champion's radio hit "Touch". Another cd fave is
"Koombayah". This cd was supernice, refreshing come back for Morgan. GOD Bless! -Don

This is a deeply and well written song. I've always liked pretty much anything Morgan Cryar sings. His heart know The Holy One. One of my favorites is Holy Fire. I have been looking for it for quite some time and don't know where to find it or the album it is on...does anyone know which song I'm speaking of? It's an amazing song, and I'd love the music, lyrics or anything.

I heard the song "What sin?" broadcast on UCB radio this week and it was so beautiful I have been looking for it since. The fact that God loses our sin in the sea of forgetfulness is so hard to accept - that one day he will ask us "What sin?" What a God.
