If you are a keyboard player who likes Michael Card (and can sight read), you're going to love getting your teeth into some of the pieces transcribed here from "The Beginning". All of the arrangements are extremely playable - once you've done battle with the intros. "Asleep On Holy Ground" could be played by anyone with more than four fingers! "The Beginning" is one of the more complicated pieces to play but even so it is attainable by an average player - and that's what has impressed me abut this publication, so often books like this one are so unplayable that they just end up as shelf decoration. Guitarists may have problems with one or two pieces, notably "Jubilee", which are not in easy keys. Also the use of added 2 chords without a chord dictionary in the back will confuse some but on the whole "The Beginning" gets the thumbs up!
