Produced by Peter Wilson, lately known for his stomping remixes of Delirious?’ “History Maker” and Brown Bear’s “Heavenly Father” on the Spring Harvest New Adventures In Worship CD. Michael Cameron brings us some classy music with more than a touch of the Celtic – hardly surprising, since he’s an Ulsterman. “Fragile” sums up the mood of the album perfectly; the fragility of human life (“Tired And Weary”), of relationships both on a human level (“Shimmering Angel”, “Anywhere”) and between churches (“In The Name Of The Father”); but underneath the fragility of all that’s temporary, there’s the permanence of the love of God and of his promises. Apart from the tracks I’ve mentioned, I particularly enjoyed the title track, which closes the album; a beautiful wistful piece, with just Michael’s lead vocal, Peter Wilson’s harmony vocal and Barry Bynum’s acoustic guitar – a magnum opus to close a quality album. Recommended.
