Once a winner of the Gospel Music Channel's reality talent search, Gospel Dream, Melinda is a surprise visitor to the UK at the moment, playing gigs in Birmingham and Bradford. As you would expect from a talent show winner, Melinda has a strong voice though in truth this album takes time to register. Maybe the problem lies in the opening track "Say Yes" packing in every gospel music lyric cliché you can think of or maybe the problem is that the best song here, Crystal Lewis' "People Get Ready", is a cover. Despite all the slick production and righteous emoting from Melinda one is left fairly under whelmed. The always reliable J Moss makes an appearance for a duet with Melinda but it's too little, too late.
