My perspective of Mary Mary has always been that they would record occasional brilliant tracks ("Shackles" of course and their wonderful "Heaven") but haven't really delivered a top rate album. I think that's changed with this one. Far more focussed than previous projects, and with occasionally breathtaking production this shows Tina and Erica at their finest with the club-friendly "Get Up" and the thumping title track with its wonderful contemporisation of the '60s Motown Sound being my current favourites. Clearly the sisters taking it up to the next level has been recognised by the public as this is their most successful album of the five they've recorded and wherever you look, like the righteous "God In Me" with special Kierra Sheard, or the sassy "Boom" this is urban gospel at its best.
